Marist College

Southern New Hampshire University

Shapiro Library

The ongoing campus expansion at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York carries forward the subtle Gothic architectural tradition established by the Marist Brothers at the turn of the 20th century. At the heart of this presentation is a unique and specific blend of  Champlain stones that combine to comprise a singular Hudson Valley Architectural palette.

This carbon neutral project features a custom sawn blend of Corinthian Granite® building stone veneer specified and supplied in a variety of defined widths, heights, and exposed faces. The end result is absolutely striking and perhaps one of the truest examples of the deep Hudson River Blue that has been the core of the Corinthian Granite® color palette since 1982.

The addition of two new school buildings and renovation of a third focused on the principles of sustainable design and connecting the core campus to both the natural environment and existing structures. The aged, understated tones and textures of our Wood Creek Granite® ashlar provided the ideal solution to both objectives.

New York City Department of Parks & Recreation

Freedmen's Cemetery

Shoemaker Green

There are few environments that will test the durability, suitability, and long term costs of a building material like urban public spaces. We've enjoyed a long and successful collaboration with NYC Parks & Recreation by supplying a variety of sustainable, low-maintenance products including natural stone pavers, building stone veneer, dimensional stone, benches, and landscape boulders.

This historically significant project pays homage to the forgotten burial place of approximately 1,800 freedmen who fled to Alexandria, Virginia to escape slavery during and shortly after the Civil War.  A variety of South Bay Quartzite® sawn blocks featuring both finished and natural cleft faces were supplied for the memorial panel walls, statue base, and pier arch supports.

Andropogon's progressive transformation at the heart of the University of Pennsylvania's athletic facilities includes a large open lawn, rain garden, and shaded seating areas created by new pathways and unique seating walls. Corinthian Granite® and American Granite™ dimensional boulders and slab material were sourced and supplied along with careful production coordination of the seating walls.

Unique Fireplace Solutions

Private Residence, Coastal Maine

Summer Home on the Lake

This exclusive building site along Maine's southern coastline features a tremendous panoptic view of the Atlantic Ocean. With limited access for heavy equipment and Maine's seasonal weather extremes and salt air, our American Granite™ 100% natural thin veneer was an ideal fit. The centerpiece of the project is the six piers and arches clad with roughly squared/rectangular flats and sawn corners in a full color range.

This lakeside home in New York's wine country is a study in what's possible with our South Bay Quartzite® building and landscaping products. From slabs to sills, nearly every facet of the contemporary building designs and thoughtful landscape plan has been influenced by South Bay's warm hues, sandy textures, and layered, workable formation.

Nothing says "welcome home" like a fire in the fireplace. These one-of-a-kind fireplace solutions continue the centuries-old tradition of creating a communal gathering point within the home while pushing the creative boundaries of both stone and mason. Inside or out, there is no more impactful building material than 100% natural stone for your fireplace project.

Tysons Corner Center

Inova Children's Hospital

As part of the leading ridge of development along the new Washington Metrorail Silver Line extension, Tysons Corner Center in McLean, Virginia is a visual departure from the adjoining mall and surrounding office parks. The focal point of the project is the 22-story Tysons Tower, which is perched on a raised podium clad with Corinthian Granite® ashlar veneer and cantilevered out toward the adjacent beltway.

Opening in January 2016, Inova Children's Hospital is the only dedicated children’s hospital in Northern Virginia. Inova provides care in a welcoming hospital that offers the latest in technical innovation in kid-friendly spaces. Our South Bay Quartzite split face panels were used extensively throughout the first floor atrium and help to reinforce the warm and comfortable setting created by the buildings' designers.
