Platinum LEED Certification
Champlain Stone is proud to announce that the company has provided materials for the first supermarket in the country to achieve Platinum LEED Certification, the highest standard of the U.S. Green Building Council. This Hannaford Supermarket is located in Augusta, Maine and features our South Bay Quartzite® on both the interior and exterior of the building. One of Hannaford's concerns was maintaining the consistency of the stone in the interior and exterior of the building. To achieve this, we provided our South Bay Quartzite® Ashlar and Thin Ledge Stone (exterior) and South Bay Quartzite® Thin Sawn Ashlar and Thin Sawn Thin Ledge Stone (interior).
